Viton extrusion – Western polyrub has developed more then 2000 shapes of viton profile which is available in std 75 shore hardness . western do manufacture viton extrusion from 50 to 90 hardness in black, brown or any color as per client specification. Western polyrub also manufacture viton sponge from 20 to 30 shore A hardness having smooth surface.
Viton has excellent resistance to acids, hot water and stream, chlorinated solvents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils, fuels, ozone and weather, lubricants, and animal or vegetable oils. It has a service temperature range -10°F to 500°F

TYPE WA :–
Viton are commonly available in 75 & 90 Shore Hardness: – V75 & V90. These compounds are normally stocked in Black although other colors can be manufactured, i.e. Brown / Green.

TYPE WF :-
Viton Used for Oxygenated Automotive fuels. Concentrated aqueous inorganic acids, water and steam.
(also known as Viton Extreme) –Viton Offers excellent Chemical resistance and greater performance compared to standard compounds. Used for Automotive & Off-Road – High pH lubricants, greases, & Coolants. Oil Exploration/ Production – Drilling Mud, Sour Wells. Special sealing requirements – solvents, coatings.
In spite of above , specialty versions of these types are available to provide improved low temperature flexibility. These are called LT types, for example, GLT, and GFLT, and these perform like the A, and F families, respectively; GLT & GFLT provide improved low temperature performance with a TR (10) of -40°F and brittleness to -76°F.
Western has also developed combination of viton copolymer mixture with silicone,epdm and ptfe which are economical and also substitute to high cost viton
Viton® is not recommended for service in low molecular weight esters and ethers, ketones, certain amines, hot anhydrous hydrofluoric or chlorosulphonic acids and alkyl phosphate esters.
Viton extrusion are ideal for aircraft engines,furnaces ,autoclave and sterilizer, automotive fuel handling systems. viton(Fluorocarbon) is also good for high temperature / low compression set applications.Wide chemical exposure situations.Hard vacuum service.
